Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to provide clinical leadership and direct patient care within the surgical services team. The role includes education, coaching, and collaboration to promote high-quality care while acting as a change agent in a busy OR setting.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Nursing, 2 years of OR nursing experience, and Georgia licensure with BCLS certification; AORN certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required.
• 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience is required.
• RN - Georgia State Licensure and/or multi-state licensure required.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support required.
• Advanced certification in field of specialty (AORN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serves as clinical expert providing education, research, coaching, direct care, consultation, leadership collaboration and ethical decision making for patients and surgical services staff.
• Communicates patient care, departmental issues, and staff concerns to leaders as needed.
