Midland Care Connection is seeking a Clinical Services Educator – Infection Prevention & Safety in Topeka, KS. The RN will educate across hospice, home health, and PACE, teaching BLS, onboarding, and competency development while supporting infection prevention and occupational health.

This role suits an organized RN who loves teaching and wants to impact hundreds of employees and patient care quality through hands-on education and program development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related healthcare field.
• Multi-state (Compact) RN license or ability to obtain within 3 months.
• Occasional travel to other Midland Care Connection offices.
• Active RN license if nursing-focused role.
• 3–5+ years of clinical experience and BLS certification.
• Strong communication and teaching skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach and model clinical care, infection prevention, and safety practices.
• Lead onboarding, competency development, and ongoing staff education.
• Coordinate education across hospice, home health, and PACE services.
• Develop training programs and support quality improvement initiatives.

Clinical Services Educator

Midland Care is looking for aClinical Educator – Infection Prevention & Safetyto join our Education team. This role offers the opportunity to step beyond traditional bedside nursing and make an organization wide impact through employee education, new hire onboarding, clinical competency development, infection prevention, occupational health, and safety.

You’ll work across multiple service lines, including hospice, home health, and PACE, while helping support employees throughout their careers. You’ll also have the opportunity to teach BLS, facilitate hands‑on skills and competencies, develop and deliver education, and serve as a key resource for infection prevention and safety.

This is a great fit for an RN who loves teaching, enjoys variety, is highly organized, and wants to use their clinical knowledge in a role that impacts hundreds of employees and the patients they serve.

QualificationsRequired

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or related healthcare field
• Multi-state nursing license (Compact) or ability to obtain within three (3) months of hire
• Occasional travel to other Midland Care Connection offices
• Active RN license (if nursing-focused role)
• 3–5+ years of clinical experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Strong communication and teaching skills
• Good organization and leadership abilities

Preferred

• Nursing experience with hospice and/or home health
• EMR experience
• Infection control/employee health experience
• Previous experience as a clinical educator or preceptor
• Education or specialty certification
• Experience developing training programs
• Experience with quality improvement initiatives

Targeted Certifications

• WCC — Wound Care Certified
• CIC — Certification in Infection Control and Epidemiology
• CRNI — Certified Registered Nurse Infusion, for IV/infusion therapy
• COHN — Certified Occupational Health Nurse
• BLS Instructor — American Heart Association BLS Instructor
