Job summary

You will collaborate with the clinical education team to provide computer orientation, ensure adherence to nursing processes, and drive quality initiatives focused on patient outcomes and nursing standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
• Master's Degree within three years of employment required.
• 1-3 years acute care nursing experience required.
• 2 years acute care, ED or critical care nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, designs, presents, and coordinates educational programs for departmental team members.
• Continuing education and orientation for new hires, plus mentoring and clinical resources.
• Collaborates weekly with the unit manager to identify learning needs and improve patient care outcomes.
• Maintains current knowledge of evidence-based standards and best practices.
• Provides education programming as educator, consultant, facilitator, change agent, leader and researcher.
• Conducts comprehensive orientation for all new hired staff and documents activities.
• Identifies learning needs and promotes adult learning principles within the department.
• Participates in departmental quality efforts and develops educational programs reflecting quality monitoring needs.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

Master's Degree within three years of employment
