Job Description :

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Responsible for reviewing clinical documentation and related processes to assess for appropriate treatment, documentation, adherence to protocols, and overall outcomes. Based upon findings, this position collaborates with key stakeholders to improve outcomes and spread best practices.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Review clinical documentation to assess compliance with best practices, proper documentation, protocol adherence, and outcomes. (20%)
  2. Support the needs of the quality team, including infection prevention, regulatory, and patient safety, through audits, process reviews, data aggregation, and trending. (20%)
  3. Analyze review findings and data to identify trends and best practices. (15%)
  4. Collaborate with HIM and Compliance teams to review and act upon patient safety indicators (PSI) and hospital-associated conditions (HAC). Daily evaluation and intervention required. (15%)
  5. Facilitate improvement in outcomes through meetings, observations, audits, research, and collaboration with stakeholders on quality initiatives. (15%)
  6. Work with clinical departments to ensure protocol compliance and implementation of evidence-based practices. (15%)
  7. Perform other duties as assigned or required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or relevant experience/education as determined by the company in lieu of a degree
  • RN license in Pennsylvania
  • 1-3 years of acute care nursing experience
  • 0-1 years of experience in quality development or large quality initiatives

Preferred

  • Experience performing Home Infusion RN duties for evaluation and training
  • Knowledge of Joint Commission Compliance
  • Experience managing Quality/Nursing Education Programs, Pharmacy Stars
