Job summary

Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare (TMH) is seeking a skilled clinical educator with a BSN and 5 years of experience (MSN with 3 years also acceptable) to lead educational programs for adult learners across TMH's facilities in the Tallahassee region.

The role requires Florida RN licensure and demonstrates leadership in education, program development, and quality improvement activities. Master's preferred; on-site work within TMH system community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required.
• Master's Degree in Nursing is preferred.
• RN license to practice in Florida is required.
• BSN with five years as a clinical educator or MSN with three years as a clinical educator is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures patient-centered care and optimal patient outcomes through direct practice, clinical leadership, coaching and guidance, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Conducts needs assessments and provides expert consultation to direct care staff; conducts orientation and competency validation.
• Participates in multidisciplinary rounds on assigned units.

Qualifications

Required Education:

Required Experience:

• BSN and five (5) years job related experience as a clinical educator
• MSN and three (3) years experience as a clinical educator

Preferred Experience:

• Demonstrated educational and leadership experience with progressive increase in responsibility.
• Excellent computer, clinical, and communication skills as well as significant experience developing, teaching and coordinating educational programs for adult learners.

Required Certification/License/Registry:

• License to practice as an RN in the State of Florida

Responsibilities

• Ensures patient-centered care and optimal patient outcomes through direct practice, clinical and professional leadership, expert coaching and guidance, consultation, collaboration, education, quality improvement initiatives, research skills an ethical decision-making.
• Conducts needs assessments, employs evidence-based educational methodologies, acts as a change agent to promote evidence-based practice, provides expert consultation to direct care staff, conducts orientation programs for new staff, evaluates initial and ongoing competency validation processes, and actively participates in quality improvement activities.
• Responsibilities also include conducting multidisciplinary rounds on assigned units.
