Job summary

The University of Mississippi Medical Center seeks a Manager - RN Clinical Documentation to develop and manage workflows and operations in clinical documentation. You will lead support staff, collaborate with senior management, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive efficient throughput while maintaining accurate personnel records.

The role requires a RN license and CCDS, a bachelor's degree, and several years of Clinical Documentation Improvement and supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Finance, Business, Health Care Administration, Health Information, Nursing or related field.
• Minimum of three (3) years of Clinical Documentation Improvement experience.
• Two (2) years supervisory experience in Nursing.
• Valid RN license and CCDS certification.

Responsibilities

• Develops and designs workflows to optimize billing, collections, follow-up, cash posting, and customer service for staff.
• Leads and guides employees to excel in revenue cycle performance in collaboration with other managers.
• Ensures operations are aligned with organizational goals and meets peer benchmarks.
• Monitors compliance with regulatory requirements including HIPAA guidelines.
• Oversees hiring, training, and daily work of staff with routine performance reviews.
• Collaborates with senior leadership to implement policies and procedures to meet performance standards.

Education
