The role you’ll contribute:

Support the department director/manager by coordinating clinical and department activities, including shift charge, department, and service line. Ensure care delivery in accordance with quality standards. Act as liaison between physicians and the patient care team. Maintain communication and cooperation with staff and other departments. Supervise staff, authorize work procedures, and assign duties. Provide input on coaching, mentoring, and performance management. Promote patient health, well-being, and safety through nursing processes aligned with standards and regulations. Be accountable for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.

• Provide leadership, support, and coordination of unit operations during your shift.
• Assist in organizing and prioritizing shift activities to meet patient care and staff needs.
• Ensure appropriate admissions and staffing skill mix for safe patient care.
• Participate in interviewing and selection processes if applicable.

Qualifications:

• Nursing experience in operating room
• Associate degree in nursing
• Minimum 2 years of Charge Nurse experience
• Surgery coordinator experience
• Acute care or circulating experience in operating room
