Qualifications

• RN license in New Mexico is required.
• Advanced certifications as required according to policy (Life Support Certification for Patient Care Providers/BLS).

Responsibilities

• Understand health care economics and policy; assist in business planning and project management.
• Coaches staff and participates in recruitment, interviewing, and education/orientation of Charge Nurse within the department.
• Promotes quality initiatives and ensures patient and staff safety.
• Demonstrates effective communication and collaborates across boundaries to support department strategy.
• Participates in shared governance and decision‑making structures.
• Actively participates in personal and professional growth and ensures nursing standards and scopes of practice are followed.
• Works variable days, evenings, nights, and weekends as required by the department.
