Job summary

San Juan Regional Medical Center seeks a Patient Care Clinical Coordinator to provide leadership oversight during non-traditional hours. You will work with the department manager to guide staff toward delivering personalized and quality care aligned with mission and values.

Responsibilities

• Understand health care economics and policy; assist in business planning and project management.
• Coaches staff and participates in recruitment, interviewing, and education/orientation of Charge Nurse within the department.

• Demonstrates effective communication and collaborates across boundaries to support department strategy.
• Participates in shared governance and decision‑making structures.
• Actively participates in personal and professional growth and ensures nursing standards and scopes of practice are followed.
• Works variable days, evenings, nights, and weekends as required by the department.

The Patient Care Clinical Coordinator enables the leadership capacity and knowledge base necessary to assure that all patients and team members receive personalized and quality care.

Required Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse licensed in New Mexico

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous leadership or management-related experience
• At least three (3) years of progressive experience in area of specialty

Duties and Responsibilities:

Physical Demands and Environmental Work Conditions:

• Must be able to see (with corrective eyewear) and hear clearly (with assistance)
• Must be able to walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, or twist frequently
• Must be able to lift greater than fifty (50) pounds and push up to three hundred (300) pounds frequently
• Potential exposure to blood or bodily fluids and meets OSHA training requirements
