St. Francis is NOW HIRING!! Come join our Emergency Department as a RN Clinical Coordinator as part of our leadership team!!
This will be a FULLTIME position working from 1p to 1a or 11a to 11p.
Under the direction of the department director, the Clinical Coordinator has responsibility for the effective implementation of the philosophy, goals, policies, and procedures of the hospital and the nursing department and their effect on patient care in the department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Identifies existing and potential problems and seeks or implements appropriate solutions.
- Performs plan of care interventions and documents patient care given.
- Provides nursing care through planning, organizing, and facilitating the nursing function for assigned patients.
- Monitors, documents, and communicates patient's status and reactions to interventions to physicians, patients, and families.
- Acts as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
- Demonstrates clinical competence in relevant area of nursing practice.
- Demonstrates leadership ability and potential managerial competency, including effective communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, motivation, and organizational skills.
- Assists in the development, implementation, and evaluation of ongoing service programs to ensure quality nursing and patient care, aligning with hospital standards and regulatory changes.
- Monitors and maintains unit compliance with regulatory, accrediting, and hospital policies for patient services, safety, and environmental standards.
- Collaborates with the director/manager to oversee the unit's PI program that monitors and evaluates care quality.
- Handles conflicts effectively with patients, families, staff, and others, referring unresolved issues to management.
- Responsible for fiscal management of the unit within budgetary guidelines, in collaboration with the director.
- Ensures operational excellence, delivering quality care in accordance with policies, procedures, and standards.
Qualifications
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education
- Associates degree in Nursing (Required)
- Bachelors degree in Nursing (Preferred)
Required Skills
- Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work independently.
- Ability to work effectively in stressful environments and take appropriate actions.
Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - Required
- ACLS - within 6 months of hire
- PALS - within 6 months of hire
- Handle with Care Certification - within 6 months
Licenses:
- Valid RN license in Georgia or multistate license.
Minimum Work Experience:
- Six (6) months of clinical nursing experience in a direct patient care setting.
- Five (5) years of clinical experience preferred.
