The role requires RN licensure, associates degree in nursing, and 1 year of clinical RN experience, with preferred BSN and nursing certifications.

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in Nursing or by endorsement.
  • One year of clinical RN experience.
  • RN license to practice in state of employment as applicable.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Nursing Specialty Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assesses patient’s physical, psychosocial, cultural and spiritual needs through observation, interview, review of medical records & clinical data.
  • Evaluates patient’s response and intervenes to ensure optimal patient outcome.
  • Develop and implement patient plan of care and observe outcomes in accordance with nursing standards and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Provides leadership, support, and coordination of unit’s daily operations during designated shift.
  • Assists in directing, organizing, and prioritizing all shift activities ensuring patient care and staff needs are met.
  • Ensures appropriateness of admissions/cases to the unit/department and that appropriate staff skill mix exists to provide safe patient care.
  • Liaison to the multidisciplinary patient care team.

Job Summary And Responsibilities As our RN Clinical Coordinator, you will actively support the department director/manager by coordinating clinical and department activities for the unit, serving as a vital clinical resource and professional role model. The 5 West Medical Surgical Department at St. Anthony North Hospital, an achieved Magnet® Hospital, is a dynamic 30-bed unit that cares for a diverse population of medical-surgical, cardiac, and neurological patients. Common diagnoses include chronic disease exacerbations such as diabetes, heart failure, and COPD, acute conditions like infections and gastrointestinal disorders, and pre-and post-operative care for orthopedic, abdominal, and general surgeries. 5 West appeals to anyone interested in broadening their skillset as we receive overflow from anywhere in the hospital, provided they meet unit criteria. Qualified external applicants with at least six months of direct RN experience are eligible for $20,000 sign on bonus To be eligible for the sign-on bonus, you must be hired into a full-time or part-time position; PRN positions are not eligible. Some exclusions apply. Depending on your location, you may be eligible for up to $8,000 in relocation assistance! Required
