Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a dedicated Nurse for the 5 West Medical Surgical Department at St. Anthony North Hospital. This dynamic 30-bed unit provides care for diverse patients with various conditions, emphasizing patient-centered treatment through teamwork and compassion.

Candidates should possess an Associate's Degree in Nursing and preferably a Bachelor's Degree, along with an RN License. The role involves facilitating patient care and requires strong nursing skills in a supportive environment with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RNs.
  • One year experience preferred in a similar role.
  • RN License required with a valid state nursing license.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitating communication with the healthcare team and patient/family.
  • Promote health and safety of the patient using the nursing process.
  • Demonstrate accountability for relationship-based care.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

The 5 West Medical Surgical Department at St. Anthony North Hospital, an achieved Magnet® Hospital, is a dynamic 30-bed unit that cares for a diverse population of medical-surgical, cardiac, and neurological patients. Common diagnoses include chronic disease exacerbations such as diabetes, heart failure, and COPD, acute conditions like infections and gastrointestinal disorders, and pre-and post-operative care for orthopedic, abdominal, and general surgeries. 5 West appeals to anyone interested in broadening their skillset as we receive overflow from anywhere in the hospital, provided they meet unit criteria. Responsibilities
  • Facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team, and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient.
  • Promote the optimal health, well‑being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act.
  • Demonstrate personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.
Job Requirements
Education Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Nursing Diploma or by endorsement

Pay Range

$33.15 - $59.67 /hour
