Qualifications

• Graduate from a Board approved nursing program with current licensure as a registered nurse in North Carolina.
• Two years of nursing experience or relevant clinical leadership experience.
• ICU & Med/Surg knowledge; BLS and ACLS training required; PALS training within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates patient care delivery by nursing staff, including hiring decisions, orientation, evaluations and policy development.
• Provides ongoing guidance to nursing staff on procedures, patient safety, and documentation quality.
• Performs chart documentation audits and supports team communication to ensure policy adherence.
• Maintains staffing schedules and supports budgeting for supplies and charges.
• Ensures compliance with Joint Commission standards, state/federal regulations, and hospital bylaws.
• Develops staff education plans and promotes excellent patient care across the unit.
