What You Will Do

• Manages staffing and patient flow
• Provides leadership in the delivery of direct patient care including patient assessment, medication management, patient and family education, and community resource referral
• Responsible for department process improvement
• Responsible for staff orientation, training, scheduling, supervision and evaluation
• Involved in providing input in budget process to support fiscal responsibility and facility operations
• Involved in coaching, mentoring and staff development
• Responsible for maintaining the environment of care and attending to the needs of the clinical staff through visibility/presence in the department and assisting in the completion of patient care activities
• Serves as the lead for disaster management in the absence of leadership management
• Ability to deliver service recovery to patients and family members to ensure a positive experience
• Insuring provision of care, safety and regulatory standards
