Job summary

UAB Medicine in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Registered Nurse to manage the plan of care for a patient caseload and coordinate with physicians, nurses, and other health professionals to ensure high-quality outcomes. The role requires 3–5 years of clinical nursing experience and active RN licensure in Alabama, with BLS and possible ACLS/PALS depending on the unit.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required by Alabama Board of Nursing
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required or Associate's degree with years of experience
• BLS certification required or to be obtained within 30 days of employment
• ACLS and/or PALS may be required depending on unit/department

Responsibilities

• Manage the plan of care for a caseload of patients and assume 24-hour responsibility
• Serve as liaison with the multidisciplinary care team to coordinate care
• Coordinate patient follow-up clinics and schedule tests and surgeries
