Job summary

Scripps Health's Liberty Station Dermatology clinic is seeking an experienced RN to join a small but mighty team. This role involves coordinating biologic therapies, leading LVNs and MAs, triage, and in-basket management, with about 60% administrative work and 40% direct patient care.

The position supports patient care across clinic operations, ensuring exceptional experiences for patients and families, with collaboration across care teams and adherence to clinical protocols.

Responsibilities

• Function as the sole RN in the clinic, providing direct patient care, leading a team of LVNs and MAs, and ensuring the seamless coordination of biologic therapies and prior authorizations.
• In-basket management and triage.
• This position is about 60% administrative (phones, epic messaging, prior authorizations and appeals, etc) and 40% direct, face-to-face patient care.
• Run the nurse clinic as well as work the floor.
• Ensure Scripps patients and their families have an exceptional health care experience.
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• Patient care includes compliance with patient assessments and care tasks, triaging, completion of clinical procedures, emergency protocols and medication administration.
• Work collaboratively with the other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.

Job description

This is a benefited, full time position generally working Monday-Friday from 7:30am-4pm. Hours will vary as needed. Located at the Liberty Station Clinic. Travel to other sites required as needed.
