REGISTERED NURSE, OR Circulator, PT 7a-3p Sat/Sun with Call, NEWTON

Join us at Piedmont Newton as we continue to grow! We currently have 6 Operating rooms and 1 Cysto room that help meet the complex needs of our community.

Our Operating Room at Piedmont Newton offers the following advanced therapeutic modalities:

DaVinci XI robotics, Hologic localizer for breast cases.

Management of patients having or requiring procedures in the following specialties:

1. General
2. GYN
3. Urology
4. Orthopedics
5. Pain Management
6. Podiatry
7. ENT
8. Pediatric Dental

The OR at Piedmont Newton uses:

• Bedside report handoff between phases of care and inpatient units.
• Quality initiatives such as pain assessment and reassessment, pressure ulcer prevention, infection prevention strategies for central lines and indwelling urinary catheters, etc.
• Unit Based Educator to help address competency, onboarding, and learning needs.
• Charge nurse out of staffing or with limited patient load to facilitate daily operations.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Graduate of a nursing program.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
New Graduates of a nursing program eligible.

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License.
BLS certification required.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
For PRN positions: One year of nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred.
Bachelors degree preferred.
Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable (see addendum).
