Job summary

Freeman Health System is seeking a qualified RN to join our perioperative nursing team on a full-time, day shift. The RN coordinates care with surgeons, charge nurses and surgical technologists to ensure safe operations and optimal patient outcomes, applying specialized perioperative knowledge and judgment.

The ideal candidate holds valid RN licensure (state or compact) and demonstrates proficiency in perioperative nursing as a circulator, with strong communication and teamwork skills to support

What You’ll Do

The RN coordinates care with other healthcare providers, including but not limited to surgeons, charge nurses and surgical technologists in performing a safe operation with optimal outcomes for the patient. The RN practices perioperative nursing and must have acquired the necessary specific knowledge, skills, and judgment. Is a resource person and teacher. Care given reflects initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations. Utilizes initiative and strives to maintain steady level of productivity. Is a self starter. Communication on behalf of the patient reflects the mission, ethics and goals of the facility, as well as the mission statement of the department.

Requirements

Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure required.

Preferred

Proficient in perioperative nursing practices as circulator.
