Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc. is seeking a Nurse Circulator to provide nursing care in an Ambulatory Surgical Center setting. The circulator acts as an intermediary between the OR staff and the surgical center, supporting patient safety and efficient workflow.

The ideal candidate will be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with an active RN license, CPR and ACLS, and at least one year of OR experience, capable of scrubbing and circulating as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing; active RN license.
• CPR and ACLS required.
• Minimum one year in the OR; ability to scrub and circulate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs scrub functions including selection and handling of instruments and supplies.
• Performs circulating functions including monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition and managing nursing care before, during and after procedure.
• Directly assists operating physician with surgical tasks including hemostasis, suturing and wound exposure; assists with patient positioning.
• Prepares operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use.

The Nurse Circulator for the assists in provision of nursing care to patients in an Ambulatory Surgical Center setting. Assumes total responsibility for patient care in accordance with physician's orders and centers policies.During operations and other surgical procedures, the circulator assists by acting as an intermediary between the operating room staff and the rest of the surgical center.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing; current state RN license.
• CPR and ACLS required.
• Minimum one year in the OR, ability to scrub as well as circulate preferred.
