Job summary

Avita Health System seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for the Surgery Department at Avita Bucyrus Hospital. The role provides direct patient care in a surgical setting, collaborating with surgeons and anesthesia staff to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities include equipment readiness, assisting with cases, and monitoring patients before, during, and after procedures. Current OH RN licensure and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications are required, with preferred 2–3 years OR

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of work experience in an operating room.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current BLS & ACLS certifications.
• Current PALS certification.

• Provide direct patient care in the surgical environment for diverse age groups.
• Communicate with surgeon and anesthesia staff about patient condition.
• Assist with preparation and readiness of surgical equipment and supplies.
• Monitor and position patient during procedures and assist the team.

We're currently seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our SurgeryDepartment at our Bucyruslocation.

Position Overview

Provides direct patient care to pediatric through geriatric patient populations. Addresses the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment. Communicates with surgeon and anesthesia staff continuously and as needed about patient condition. Assists with the maintenance of surgical equipment and inventory. Assesses operating room for equipment functioning and readiness, obtains supplies for individual cases and ensures all appropriate needs of surgical operating team are met. Monitors, positions and assists patient during procedure.

Qualifications

Required:

• Minimum of one year of work experience in an operating room.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current BLS & ACLS certifications.
• Current PALS certification.

Preferred:

• Minimum of two - three years of work experience in the operating room.
