Job summary

Avita Health System in Bucyrus is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Surgery Department. The role provides direct patient care across pediatric to geriatric populations in a busy surgical setting, coordinating with surgeons and anesthesia teams to ensure safety and optimal outcomes.

Candidates must hold Ohio RN licensure with current BLS, ACLS within 3 months of hire, and PALS within 6 months; OR experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS certification or obtained within 3 months of hire.
• Current PALS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum of one (1) year work experience in the operating room (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to pediatric through geriatric populations in the surgical environment.
• Communicate with surgeons and anesthesia staff about patient condition.
• Assess and maintain ventilation, hemostasis, and circulation; monitor consciousness and provide pain management.
• Ensure patient safety until transfer to another unit and participate in performance improvement activities.
