The role requires familiarity with psychotropic medications and child development, plus the ability to educate staff on medications.

Formación

• Must be a licensed and registered nurse in NJ.
• Minimum of 1 year experience with children who have behavioral/psychiatric health needs.
• Familiarity with psychotropic medications and knowledge of child growth and development.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate medical services including appointments with Psychiatrist.
• Monitor medications and manage medical/psychiatric emergencies as needed.
• Verify accuracy of physician orders.
• Coordinate and provide ongoing psychiatric assessments and nursing progress notes.
• Provide medication counseling and education to consumers.
• Monitor laboratory orders for accuracy.
• Complete supporting documentation for duties.
• Provide on-call support 24 hours for emergencies.
