Community Hospital of San Bernardino is seeking a Charge Nurse to oversee a team of frontline nurses, ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to the unit's goals. You will advocate for staff and collaborate with physicians, consultants, and family advocates to drive optimal outcomes.
The role requires an RN credential with 2 years of acute care experience, CA RN licensure on hire, and CPR certification. You will mentor staff and help maintain a compassionate, efficient care environment.
As our Charge Nurse, you'll oversee a department of frontline nurses caring for patients. Your previous experience in acute care, LTC, or nursing homes adds tremendous value to our nursing team. Every day you will advocate for your fellow nurses as you support them in reaching their full potential, which aligns with your department's operational goals and objectives. To thrive in this role, you need to be accountable and confident. You're an excellent communication in 1:1 interactions with physicians, consultants and family advocates. It's also important for you to be comfortable holding tough conversations, as you are responsible for the performance of your people and your unit.
We are not currently accepting new graduate or new to speciality applications. Our next posting period will be July 1, 2026 for an October 16, 2026 start date. Positions can be found under National Resident RN (<12 months experience as an RN) or RN Transition/Fellowship (>12 months experience as an RN).
