Job summary

BayCare Mease Countryside Hospital seeks an RN Charge to lead nursing teams on a full-time basis. The role emphasizes patient care with strong managerial skills, acting as a role model for colleagues and guiding development for self and team members.

The position includes responsibilities as a preceptor and charge nurse, with direct child care duties under SIPP where applicable, and collaboration to maintain high-quality clinical practice.

Qualifications

• BSN or related degree required within 7 months of hire/promotion.
• RN Professional Nurse Specialty Certification within 7 months of hire/promotion.
• Certifications such as BLS required; ACLS as department may require.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in care of a patient population with effective managerial skills.
• Acts as a professional role model for other nursing team members.
• Develops self and team members and shares organizational information.
• Serves as preceptor and charge nurse; direct contact with a child per SIPP requirements.
• Provides personal care, assistance and supervision to a child when applicable.

The RN Charge responsibilities include:

• The Clinical Nurse III is proficient in the care of a patient population utilizing effective managerial skills.


• Acts as a professional role model for other members of the nursing team.


• Responsible for developing self and team members and sharing organizational information.


• Performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse. SIPP Only: Direct contact with the child and has primary responsibility for providing personal care, assistance and supervision to a child.
