Job summary

MountainView Regional Medical Center in Las Cruces, NM is seeking an RN Charge to oversee the operations of a nursing unit during assigned shifts, ensuring effective and efficient delivery of high-quality patient care, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with hospital policies.

You will collaborate with healthcare professionals, manage patient flow and bed assignments, lead handoffs and unit huddles, participate in safety and quality initiatives, and mentor nursing staff toward ongoing

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience required.
• RN license required (state licensure or compact).

Responsibilities

• Supervises and supports nursing and support staff; delegates tasks to appropriate personnel.
• Evaluates staff performance; provides feedback and coaching to maintain high standards of care.
• Oversees assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care; ensures care plans are followed.
• Collaborates with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and resolve issues.
• Ensures effective communication among physicians, patients, families, and hospital departments; manages shift handoffs and unit huddles.
• Monitors patient flow, bed assignments, and resource utilization within the unit.
• Contributes to quality improvement initiatives and audits to enhance patient outcomes.
