Job Responsibilities:

The charge nurse leader is responsible for assessing, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating the delivery of safe and effective patient-centered care during their assigned shift. They facilitate, precept, and mentor staff to grow professionally and enhance their skills. They continuously assess unit needs to ensure adequate resources, collaborating with other departments to coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges. The charge nurse demonstrates professionalism, meets regulatory and policy requirements, upholds standards of practice, and holds team members accountable for safe, competent practice, quality care, and continuous improvement. The Charge Nurse reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree required within 3 years of hire.
• Registered Nurse; Current RN licensure in Ohio.
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
• Work hours: Days or nights with weekend commitment.
• CPR required. ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC per unit requirement (if not current, must be obtained within 6 months).
• Demonstrated leadership and coaching abilities, professional and ethical behavior, passion for nursing and teamwork.
