Job Responsibilities:

The charge nurse leader is responsible for assessing, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating the delivery of safe and effective patient-centered care during their assigned shift. They facilitate, precept, and mentor staff to promote professional growth. The charge nurse assesses unit needs, collaborates with departments to manage admissions, transfers, and discharges, and ensures compliance with standards and policies. They demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and a commitment to quality care. The Charge Nurse reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree required within 3 years of hire.
• Current RN licensure in Ohio.
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
• Work hours: Days or nights, with weekend commitment.
• CPR certification required; ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC per unit requirements (must be obtained within 6 months if not current).
• Demonstrated leadership, professionalism, passion for nursing, and teamwork.
