Job summary

Vibra Healthcare, LLC is seeking an RN Charge Nurse for the night shift. The Clinical Supervisor oversees clinical and operational functions during the shift, ensuring quality, cost-effective care and compliance with hospital standards. This role includes leadership, patient advocacy, and coordination with the nursing staff and allied personnel.

The RN will supervise nursing care, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, and contribute to staff education and patient/caregiver education plans.

Qualifications

• Current, valid RN license in the state of employment required.
• Current BLS certification from an approved vendor required.
• ACLS certification required within six (6) months of hire.
• One (1) year of medical/surgical hospital experience required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation.
• Provide delegation and supervision of all nursing care on the unit.
• Coordinate nursing unit activities related to patient care.
• Participate in patient and family education as needed.
• Provide leadership and clinical guidance to nursing staff and ancillary personnel.
• Contribute to interdisciplinary review for patients and education planning.

Overview

RN Charge Nurse - Full Time - Nights

The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for the clinical supervision and hospital operations during assigned shift. Assesses, plans, coordinates, and evaluates the clinical and operational functions of the unit to ensure quality, cost effective health care is provided by an educated and competent staff. Serves as a patient advocate and an administrative resource during the shift to ensure care meets hospital and professional standards.

Responsibilities

Responsible for coordinating the delivery of nursing care through the utilization of the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation of the individual patient. The provision of care includes direct care along with the delegation and supervision of all nursing care in accordance with the applicable Nurse Practice Act. Responsible for coordinating nursing unit activities related to patient care. Participates in patient and family education as needed. Provides leadership and clinical guidance by working with and supporting the nursing staff and other ancillary personnel. Participates in the interdisciplinary review process for patients, incorporating the information into the plan of care and the education plan for the assigned patients.

Required Skills:

• Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment required.
• Current BLS certification from an approved vendor required.
• Current ACLS certification from an approved vendor required within six (6) months of hire.
• One (1) year of medical/surgical hospital experience required.

Additional Qualifications/Skills:

• Two (2) years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
• Critical care experience preferred.
• Previous Charge Nurse/Supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to project a professional image.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
• Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
• Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
