Job summary

Spanish Cove Retirement Village is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Charge Nurse for the Long-Term Care department. The role offers $34.00 per hour with shifts 5:45am–6:15pm, three days per week, rotating weekends.

Ideal candidates will have an active Oklahoma RN license, be comfortable in one-on-one patient settings, and able to lift 100 lbs, with weekend availability and a compassionate approach to resident care.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality nursing care to residents and coordinate total nursing care.
• Implement procedures and programs as directed.
• Collaborate with DON and ADON to set goals and determine work procedures.
• Ensure compliance with policies and Oklahoma Dept of Health and Federal Health Care regs.
• Communicate with and supervise appropriate staff.
• Provide daily and periodic reports.
• Perform CNA and CMA duties when required.

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Charge Nurse

Pay Rate: $34.00 Hourly

The charge nurse position is responsible for:

• Performing a variety of duties to provide quality nursing care to residents and to coordinate total nursing care for residents
• Implementing specific procedures and programs
• Participating with the director of nursing and the ADON in establishing specific goals
• Determining work procedures and expediting workflow
• Ensuring compliance with all operating policies and procedures and Oklahoma Department of Health regulations and Federal Health Care Administration regulations
• Communicating with and supervising appropriate personnel
• Providing daily reports and other periodic reports
• Performing all the duties of a certified nursing assistant and CMA when required

Qualifications:

• Have an active State of Oklahoma RN License.
• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills.
• Must be able to work weekends & holidays.
• Frequent lifting & moving. Must have the ability to lift, move, push, pull, & transfer 100 lbs with the physical capability to perform all job-related duties.
• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation every single day
• Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
• Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends
• Prior experience in healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment
• Willingness to enforce health and safety standards
• Supportive and compassionate
• High School Diploma or equivalent and a degree from an accredited school of nursing.

• Hoyer Lift Experience (specific to client)
