Job summary

Regency Health and Rehabilitation in Yorktown, VA is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) to join our growing team and provide high-quality care to residents. The role offers a competitive hourly rate and benefits.

As a nurse, you will supervise CNAs, administer medications, coordinate admissions/discharges, monitor vital signs, and maintain accurate care records while delivering compassionate, person-centered support to each resident.

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in the state of practice.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate, and direct the work of nursing assistants (CNAs).
• Provide individualized nursing care to residents according to each resident’s plan of care.
• Assist in the admission, transfer, and discharge of patients.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments as ordered by the physician.
• Explain procedures and treatments ordered to gain patients’ cooperation and reduce anxiety.
• Observe vital signs to detect deviations from normal and gauge progress.
• Maintain patients’ medical records on nursing observations and actions taken.
• Record nursing needs on care plans to ensure continuity of care.
• Observe emotional stability and prepare residents for continuing care after discharge.
• Perform other duties to provide exceptional care.

What you'll do

• Records nursing needs of patient on care plan to assure continuity of care.

• Observes emotional stability of patients, expresses interest in their progress, and prepares them for continuing care after discharge.

• Perform other duties as required to provide exceptional care to each resident.
