Job summary

CHRISTUS Health is seeking a Charge Auditor Clinical RN to coordinate the process of capturing observation charges and other direct care/nursing department charges. You will oversee documentation and billing of observation patients to ensure compliance with all standards and guidelines, demonstrating teamwork with visitors, patients, and associates.

Responsibilities include auditing charging processes, reviewing surgical records, and ensuring timely entry of charges.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing.
• Active RN licensure in the state of employment.
• BLS certification.
• 2 years clinical nursing experience.
• Experience in Surgical Services setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the abstraction of patient and procedure information for billing.
• Review surgical records within one business day to identify documentation opportunities.
• Ensure timely entry of surgical charges.
• Participate in charge audits and reviews (e.g., RAC audit).
• Maintain licensure and certifications.
• Complete HealthStream modules by assigned date.
