Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the CDU 2 observation unit. You will deliver skilled nursing care for patients with stays under 24 hours, collaborating with physicians, APPs, RNs, and LPNs to manage conditions like heart failure and hypertensive emergencies.

Qualifications

• Current PA RN licensure or multi-state licensure via eNLC.
• Ability to work in an interdisciplinary team.
• Commitment to patient safety and quality initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care to patients in CDU 2 with a focus on observation diagnoses and high-quality care.
• Collaborates with physicians, advanced practice providers, RNs and LPNs to plan and implement patient care.
• Leads and participates in interdisciplinary rounds and care planning.
• Monitors patient status and communicates changes to the care team and physician.
• Ensures adherence to hospital policies, safety guidelines, and HIPAA requirements.
• Demonstrates lifelong learning and supports department quality initiatives.
