Responsibilities

• Assess nursing care needs and develop plans for patient care.
• Provide leadership in a professional practice setting.
• Assign or delegate tasks based on patient needs and staff skill levels.
• Provide feedback regarding clinical practice and role performance.
• Participate on interdisciplinary teams to evaluate care or health services.
• Promote patient safety initiatives and participate in quality initiatives.
• Utilize the nursing process to implement patient care plans.
• Document changes in patient condition and notify appropriate personnel.
• Promote compassionate, patient- and family-centered communication.
