Job summary

Legacy Staffing is seeking a highly skilled Critical Care Transport Registered Nurse (CCT RN) to join their mobile ICU team in Kern County, CA. This role offers autonomous practice with one-on-one patient care in fast-paced EMS settings.

You will provide advanced nursing care during ground transport, respond to emergencies, manage critical conditions, and mentor EMTs/Paramedics while maintaining strict safety and documentation standards.

Qualifications

• Valid California RN license required.
• Minimum 3 years ER/ICU experience.
• CPR certification required.
• Class C California Driver License (issued by Client).

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced nursing care during ground transport in mobile ICU units.
• Respond to medical emergencies and deliver ALS/BLS treatment.
• Conduct patient assessments and manage critical conditions during transit.
• Administer life-saving interventions and monitor cardiac status.
• Operate medical equipment and coordinate with sending/receiving facilities.
• Document care accurately and maintain reporting standards.
• Mentor EMTs and Paramedics in EMS techniques.

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Critical Care Transport Registered Nurse (CCT RN) to join their elite mobile intensive care unit team. Key Responsibilities

• Provide advanced nursing care during ground transport in mobile ICU units
• Respond to medical emergencies and deliver ALS/BLS treatment
• Conduct patient assessments and manage critical conditions during transit
• Administer life‑saving interventions (airway management, cardiac monitoring, medications)
• Operate and maintain advanced medical equipment (EKGs, defibrillators, suction devices)
• Coordinate care with sending/receiving facilities, EMS teams, and first responders
• Document patient care accurately and ensure compliance with reporting standards
• Offer compassionate support to patients and families during transport
• Mentor and guide EMTs and Paramedics in proper EMS techniques
• Ensure vehicle and equipment readiness and compliance with safety standards

Qualifications

• Valid California RN license
• Minimum 3 years of ER and/or ICU experience
• Valid CPR certification
• Class C California Driver License (issued by Client)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work in high‑stress, fast‑paced environments
• Computer proficiency for documentation and reporting

Training & Certification Requirements

• Within 2 months of hire: ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC (or equivalent) – internal training available
• Within 2 years of hire: Advanced Nursing Certification (e.g., CTRN, CEN, CCRN)

Working Conditions

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Frequent physical activity: pushing, pulling, kneeling, squatting, climbing
