Premier Ambulance})s Critical Care Program operates in both Los Angeles & Orange Counties. All staff considered for employment must meet the minimum requirements of LA County EMS Reference No. 414: Specialty Care Transport Provider. C.3.a. Have a minimum of two years of nursing experience in a critical care area relevant to the type of SCT transports the RN will provide (pediatric vs. adult), within the previous 24 months prior to employment as a transport nurse.

Critical Care Transport Nurses provide Basic and Advanced Life Support during high-risk ambulance transport, working alongside trained EMTs. The CCT Transport Nurse delivers direct patient care to patients that may require cardiac and respiratory monitoring, IV-infused medications, and ventilators. Transports are generally for critically ill patients moved between hospitals and/or facilities.
