Job summary

St. Mary's Medical Center is currently seeking a special full time RN for our Critical Care Float. The Staff RN plans, coordinates and monitors care with the nursing staff and other health professionals while ensuring resources are used effectively and standards are met.

Current WV RN licensure (or compact-state license) and BLS are required; graduate of an approved School of Nursing. Experience is preferred but not required, with a focus on patient outcomes and unit management support.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse in West Virginia or a valid compact state license.
• Graduate of an approved School of Nursing with current licensure.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and monitor patient care with the nursing staff and other healthcare professionals.
• Ensure efficient use of resources and adherence to established standards of care.
• Document care variations appropriately and support Nursing Unit management.

The Staff RN is responsible for the daily planning, coordination, and monitoring of care with the nursing staff and other health care professional caring for the patient. Accountable for assuring effective use of available resources, maintaining established standards of care and meeting outcomes within an appropriate length of stay. Ensures that variations based on patients' individual needs are justified and well documented. Assists with the management needs of Nursing Unit.

Experience preferred but not required.Knowledge of current nursing procedures. BLS required.Graduate of an approved School of Nursing. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of West Virginia or a valid compact state nurse license.
