Job summary

St. Mary's Medical Center in West Virginia is seeking a full-time RN for our Med Surg Float Department. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the daily planning, coordination, and monitoring of care with the nursing staff and other health care professionals caring for the patient.

Accountable for assuring effective use of available resources, maintaining established standards of care and meeting outcomes within an appropriate length of stay. Graduate of an approved School of Nursing.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved School of Nursing.
• BLS certification required.
• Current RN license in West Virginia or a compact state.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor patient care with nursing staff and other health care professionals.
• Ensure resources are used effectively, maintain standards of care, and meet outcomes within an appropriate length of stay.
• Document and justify variations based on patients' individual needs; assist with Nursing Unit management.
