Job description

RN Cath Lab Specialty Full Time Days Position

Provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit.

1. Coordinates care planning with other disciplines.
2. Delivers individualized, age-specific, and direct bedside nursing care based on the nursing process and patient needs.
3. Performs all aspects of clinical support for diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures.
4. May assist with compilation and reporting of procedural information to benchmarking, regulatory, or accreditation agencies, as required.
5. Participates with all team members to provide and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
6. Participates in on-call rotation for emergency cardiovascular procedures outside normal operating hours, including evenings and weekends.

Special Skills:

Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work with team members are required. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with occasional periods of above-average pressure. Must tolerate long periods of standing and wearing lead aprons during procedures. Excellent customer service skills. Basic computer skills are required. *Must be able to take call and be within 30 minutes of Abrazo Heart Hospital.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited nursing school
• Preferred Education: BSN
• Minimum Experience: At least 1+ years in ED, ICU, Tele, ENDO, or other procedural areas. Will train if willing to learn.
• Preferred Experience: At least 1 year in Cardiac Cath Lab, Hemodynamics, CVICU, ICU, or Cardiac Stepdown. Certification in specialty preferred.
• Required Certifications: RN license in Arizona, ACLS, BLS (renew every 2 years).
• Preferred Certifications: CCRN.
