The Role:

Assumes responsibility for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with the healthcare team and patient/family to identify and meet physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. Promotes patient health, well-being, and safety through the nursing process, following standards, guidelines, and the State Nurse Practice Act. Demonstrates personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.

  • Assess patient needs through observation, interviews, review of medical records, and clinical data. Evaluate responses and intervene to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Develop and implement patient care plans and observe outcomes in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrate competency in interventions such as IV placement, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collection.
  • Promote, advocate, and collaborate to protect patient health, safety, and rights.
Qualifications:

Required Skills and Experience:

  • One year of nursing experience preferred, with skills specific to the specialty.
  • Current Colorado RN License or a Compact RN License from an NCLA Compact State.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
