Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is seeking an RN for the Cath Lab in Illinois. This 13-week contract covers day shifts from 08:00 AM to 04:30 PM, with responsibilities delivering care to adult and geriatric patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures.

You should have at least one year of hands-on cardiovascular lab or critical care experience, an active RN license, and BCLS/ACLS certifications. BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional patient care to adult and geriatric populations during cardiovascular procedures.
• Provide holistic support addressing physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs of patients in a surgical/procedural setting.
• Collaborate with physicians, providing updates on patient status before, during, and after procedures.
• Prepare and maintain procedure rooms, ensuring equipment is functioning and ready for use.
• Manage supplies and inventory to support efficient Cath Lab workflow.
• Monitor physiologic and hemodynamic data during procedures and respond to changes promptly.
• Assess and document patient condition and maintain thorough records.
• Support quality initiatives and participate in continuous improvement activities.

Description:Deliver exceptional patient care to adult and geriatric populations, ensuring safety, comfort, and high-quality outcomes throughout all cardiovascular procedures.Provide holistic support, addressing the physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs of patients in a surgical and procedural environment.Collaborate closely with physicians, offering continuous updates and timely communication regarding patient status before, during, and after procedures.Prepare and maintain procedure rooms, ensuring all equipment is functioning properly, calibrated, and ready for use.Manage supplies and inventory, gathering case‑specific materials and making sure the Cath Lab team has everything required for efficient workflow.Monitor physiologic and hemodynamic data during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, ensuring accurate interpretation and rapid response to changes.Continuously assess and document patient condition while they are in the Cardiovascular Lab, maintaining thorough and precise records.Support quality initiatives, participating in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities to enhance patient care and operational excellence.
