Job summary

Cynet Health in Midland, Michigan is seeking a dedicated RN for our Cath Lab to support invasive cardiac procedures. You will participate in pre- and post-procedure care, scrub for angiography and catheterization, and assist with stress testing and various cardiovascular diagnostics.

The role requires an active Michigan RN license, BLS and ACLS, and experience with Maclab/hemodynamics, interventional radiology, and vascular procedures.

Qualifications

Description:This position cares for patients before, during, and after angiography and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures.It involves pre-procedure assessment, pre-medication, documentation of the catheterization process, post-catheterization care, and patient education.The nurse scrubs in for procedures and assists other members of the catheterization laboratory.Responsibilities include performing nursing care for cardiovascular patients and conducting other cardiac diagnostic procedures according to department protocol.The role includes assisting with stress echocardiograms, routine treadmill exams, nuclear and pharmacologic stress testing, tilt table tests, echocardiograms, cardioversions, and transesophageal echocardiograms.The nurse evaluates and screens patients for safety prior to testing.Sedation monitoring is performed in accordance with hospital policy, and documentation is maintained.Additional responsibilities include Holter monitor application, event monitor application, ambulatory blood pressure monitor application, and pacemaker interrogations.Inserting PICC lines and functioning as a vascular access expert to meet patient needs is also required.Operating equipment and managing supplies such as cardiac output monitors, hemodynamic monitors, pacemakers, intraaortic balloon pumps, IV pumps, defibrillators, and stress machines is essential.The nurse scrubs in for procedures with the physician and records all pertinent information on appropriate data sheets.Reviewing and enhancing cardiovascular education materials and programs is also a part of the role.Candidates must possess a skills checklist, current to one year, that is relevant to the specialty.Supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years are required for consideration.Active Michigan state license must be verified.Candidates must hold an active American Heart Association BLS certification and an active ACLS certification.On-call coverage includes 10 days of call per month, which encompasses various procedures.The position may require 1-2 nights of call per week.
