Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff seeks an experienced RN for the Cardiac Cath Lab in Chicago. This 13-week assignment is day shift, 10-hour rotations, requiring at least 2 years Cath Lab experience and a current RN license.

Must perform moderate sedation with Versed/Fentanyl, manage critical drips, and monitor/circulate during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. You will work in a Level 1 Trauma Center teaching hospital, with Magnet designation, interfacing with Charge RN and physicians.

  • Operate EMR, IV Pumps and hemodynamic monitoring equipment.

Description:This position involves working in a Cardiac Cath Lab.The facility is a Level 1 Trauma Center and a teaching hospital.It is Magnet designated and comprehensively participates in stroke care.There are three Cath Labs available.The average daily case load ranges from 5 to 15 cases.The case types involve diagnostic/interventional procedures for cardiac cases.Common cases include NSTEMI, STEMI, Impella, IABP, and rotoblator procedures.The RN is expected to have proficiency in managing critical drips and moderate sedation.Support within the department includes a Charge RN and available physicians.The role requires being on call during weekends, with a 30-minute response time.There are opportunities for scheduled weekend rotations and overnight call shifts.Emergency procedures are essential in this role.Self-scheduling is available with manager approval.Equipment includes EMR, IV Pumps, and Hemodynamic monitoring.The unit's scrub color will be provided.Public transportation options are available nearby.
