An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Staff Registered Nurse (RN) for their Cath Lab. This full-time role involves performing critical cardiovascular procedures and providing exceptional patient care. Job Summary: The Staff Registered Nurse (RN) performs diagnostic, therapeutic, and interventional cardiovascular and angiographic procedures as part of a team. Provides age-specific and developmentally appropriate patient care, participates in developing standards of care, and contributes to staff and patient education. Applies theoretical knowledge to clinical practice, expands cardiovascular skills, and meets all licensure and competency requirements. Engages in educational activities, departmental committees, research, and other health projects. Manages material resources and ensures quality and safety in patient care. Uses interpersonal skills to promote excellent customer service and professionalism, fostering a caring and cooperative work environment. Performs additional duties as assigned.
Education and Experience: Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution is required. Must have recent nursing practice (within four years) or completed an approved refresher course. A minimum of two years' experience in a Cath or Angio Lab performing diagnostic and interventional procedures is required. Candidates with over two years of critical care experience may be considered in lieu of Cath Lab experience.
Knowledge and Skills: Must possess physical and emotional stamina. Strong customer service and listening skills. Ability to understand departmental processes, interpret data, and document properly. Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English (Spanish preferred). Skilled in computer use and software (Microsoft Windows, Office, internet, email). Capable of troubleshooting medical equipment. Effective communication, professionalism, patience, and teamwork skills are essential. Ability to distinguish colors and smells, hear adequately, see clearly, and perceive temperature variances for patient care.
Licensures and Certifications: Active California RN license required. Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association are required.
