Endeavor Health is seeking an RN Case Manager, Workers Compensation in Arlington Heights, IL. This full-time role (40 hours) requires coordinating care for work-related injuries and ensuring timely return-to-work, with travel to other Endeavor Health locations (Skokie) as needed.

You will assess progress via in-person, telephonic, or video visits, communicate with carriers and TPAs, and collaborate with physicians and HR to implement RTW plans, while maintaining regulatory compliance and patient

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Healthcare/Science is required.
• 3+ years of clinical nursing experience.
• Knowledge of workers' compensation laws/regulations and claim management practices.
• RN license in Illinois and BLS certification are required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates medical care for workers' comp injuries from injury to return-to-work or case closure.
• Performs in-person, telephonic, or video assessments to monitor progress.
• Communicates with carriers, TPAs, and legal teams to manage claims.
• Schedules tests, procedures, and treatments to ensure timely services.
• Collaborates with providers to implement treatment plans.
• Develops return-to-work plans with health and HR teams.

Overview

Hourly Pay Range: $40.45 - $62.70. The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

RN Case Manager, Workers Compensation

The RN Case Manager, Workers Compensation provides care coordination and case management to injured team members, focusing on facilitating their return to work. This role ensures timely, efficient, and coordinated care that promotes optimal recovery, safe return to work, and compliance with all relevant regulatory and organizational policies. The RN Case Manager serves as a liaison among injured team members, providers, Endeavor Health’s third-party administrator, legal representatives, and leaders to ensure a safe and seamless process as they return to work from a medical absence or an approved medical leave of absence.

• Full Time/Part Time: Full time (40 hours)
• Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm
• Required Travel: travel to other Endeavor Health locations (Skokie) will be required

What you will do

• Coordinates the medical care of team members with work-related injuries and/or illnesses from initial injury/illness through return to work or case closure.
• Performs in-person, telephonic, and/or video visit assessments to monitor medical progress and identify potential barriers to recovery.
• Communicates regularly with workers' compensation carriers, third-party administrators (TPAs), and legal teams to manage claims and facilitate case resolution.
• Coordinates and schedules tests, procedures, appointments, and treatments to ensure timely services when necessary.
• Collaborates with physicians, therapists, and other providers to develop and follow appropriate treatment plans.
• Develops and implements individualized return-to-work (RTW) plans in coordination with Employee Health, Human Resources, and department leadership.
• Monitors compliance with treatment and RTW protocols; escalates issues when necessary.
• Works with the team member's care team to determine functional capacity and work status.
• Participates in communicable disease clearance for team members seeking to return to work due to non-occupational illness (e.g., shingles, conjunctivitis).
• Maintains accurate, detailed reports and records in the case management system (Team Member Health System) in accordance with internal policies and state regulations.
• Provides patient care in compliance with NPSG and Core Measures; maintains Joint Commission readiness; complies with HIPAA regulations; supports patient safety and infection control protocols.
• Builds relationships with team members and leaders across Endeavor Health to support organizational objectives; responds promptly to customer needs and communicates effectively with leadership, team members, vendors, and contractors.
• Stays current with regulations and best practices; educates team members on the worker's compensation process and available resources, including health, safety, and wellness practices.
• Maintains confidentiality of team member and patient information; supports additional projects and administrative tasks as needed.

What you will need

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Healthcare/Science, required
• Certification:
  • RN – Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, required
  • BLS – Basic Life Support (CPR & AED) through the American Heart Association, required
  • Certification in case management (CCM) or related field, preferred
• Experience: 3+ years of clinical nursing experience
