Job Summary:

A registered professional nurse employed by Erlanger Medical Center is responsible for assisting patients, families, physicians, and staff in managing the current healthcare plan.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Required: Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing. Case Management certification with the ACMA within 2 years of hire.
• Preferred: BSN, Case Management certification with ACM or CCM certification.

Experience:

• Required: Broad clinical experience with at least one year of experience and evidence of clinical knowledge.
• Preferred: Experience in utilization management or case management. Knowledge of managed care practices, community resources, regulatory, and insurance reimbursement issues.

Position Requirements:

• Required: Current licensure to practice nursing in Tennessee. Tennessee licensure or multistate licensure from a compact state must be obtained within three months of hire for non-Tennessee residents.

Department Summary:

Interacts with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery, participates in data collection for accreditation standards, manages hospital resources efficiently, and collaborates on patient care planning to ensure quality outcomes.
