Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a Registered Nurse (Breast and Cervical Health) in Juneau, Alaska for a 13-week contract. The RN will provide comprehensive cancer prevention, screening, and diagnostic services, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and support patient-centered care.

The role requires ADN, Alaska RN license, and BLS. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM, with duties spanning assessments, plan of care, education, and care coordination.

Responsibilities

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care across the lifespan in accordance with organizational standards, policies, and evidence-based practice. The RN utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while delivering high-quality, culturally sensitive, and patient-centered services. The RN collaborates with providers and interdisciplinary teams to promote optimal patient outcomes, safety, and positive patient experience. The Breast and Cervical Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive care management for Breast and Cervical cancer prevention, screening, and diagnostic services for patients.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive patient assessments and develops individualized plans of care.
• Implements and evaluates nursing interventions and patient responses.
• Administrates medications and treatments safely and accurately as per provider orders and policy.
• Recognizes changes in patient condition and initiates appropriate interventions or escalation of care.
• Provides patient and family education related to care, medications, and discharge needs.
• Delivers culturally responsive, patient-centered care.
• Collaborates with providers and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care.
• Documents assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely in the electronic health record.
• Participates in quality and performance improvement activities.
• Maintains required competencies and certifications.

Required Experience

• Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the State of Alaska or other U.S. state required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Certifications/Licensure

• Case Management certification within 2 years of hire.
• High-risk competency validation required within 3 months and every year thereafter.
