Job summary

Coosa Valley Medical Center in Sylacauga, Alabama, seeks a Registered Nurse to deliver comprehensive nursing care and to provide nursing staff leadership within a progressive health care team.

The RN will assess patient needs, plan and implement care, and evaluate treatment responses, while guiding the delivery of nursing care by other team members in a therapeutic milieu. This role requires strong organization and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing and currently licensed in the State of Alabama.
• 1-3 years experience in related field.
• Must possess organizational, verbal, interpersonal, and customer relations skills required to interact with residents, family, physicians and staff.
• Must have analytical, grammar/spelling, and computer skills; able to read and comprehend written and verbal instruction.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse executes comprehensive nursing care activities and provides nursing staff leadership.
• He/she assesses patient needs, plans and implements patient care activities, and evaluates the patient’s response to treatment.
• He/she manages activities within the therapeutic milieu and directs the delivery of nursing care by other members of the nursing treatment team.
