Virtua Health is hiring a clinically accountable registered nurse for Mount Holly, NJ. You will coordinate patient care on a unit, collaborate with physicians and care teams, and ensure high standards of ethics and safety. The role emphasizes thorough assessment, care planning, and education for patients and families in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Requirements include NJ RN license, OR/Urology experience, and strong communication. BSN preferred; 2 years of acute care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and have valid NJ RN License.
• BSN preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years current acute care nursing experience preferred.
• Certification in appropriate specialty preferred.
• Demonstrates strong communication and ability to coordinate care with a care team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates care on the unit/department toward specific patient outcomes.
• Prioritizes and coordinates needs of the overall unit and individual patients.
• Interacts with physicians and case management to coordinate care and establish an appropriate plan of care.
• Assigns, directs and evaluates delegated care by nursing staff.
• Performs patient assessments and develops, implements, and evaluates care plans.
• Administers and documents therapeutic interventions.
• Educates patients and families about disease processes and care needs.
• Participates in performance improvement activities and ensures safety practices.
