Unit Description: 3E Cardiovascular and Surgical ICU

We care for all cardiothoracic, vascular, general, and head/neck surgery patients requiring ICU admission. Common patient cases include:

• CABG and Valve Repair/Replacement
• Vascular Stent and Bypasses
• Cardiogenic Shock
• STEMI/NSTEMI
• Radical Neck Dissection
• General Surgery

Qualifications:

Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program

Licensure: Must obtain and maintain a current RN license in the state of employment or hold a valid compact license, meeting all state board requirements.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to push, pull, and lift 50 pounds regularly
• Prolonged standing and walking during shifts
• Capability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed

Certifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion within 30 days of hire
