Position Overview

The Staff Registered Nurse assumes responsibility for managing and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process. May be required to float to other units and participate in on-call status. This position requires population-specific competencies and adherence to National Patient Safety Goals, as appropriate.

Responsibilities
  1. Assessment/re-assessments
  2. Development of the plan of care
  3. Implementation of appropriate patient care interventions
  4. Evaluation of patient care interventions
  5. Supervising and coordinating care provided by licensed and non-licensed personnel
  6. Providing guidance and mentorship to staff and students
Reporting and Physical Demands

The nurse reports to the manager, director, or vice president. Mental health staff must assist with physical restraint using Behavior Management Techniques. The position may involve physical demands, respiratory fit tests, exposure to hazards, and workplace risks. Follow universal safety precautions and be prepared for interruptions, noise, odors, and chemicals.

Qualifications
  • Current RN licensure in Oklahoma or multistate license via Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)
  • Minimum two years of LPN or one year of RN experience
  • Completion of professional nurse orientation and unit-specific training
  • Demonstration of core competencies within 90 days; unit competencies within 12 months
  • Current BLS certification (or within 30 days of hire)
  • Effective communication in English
  • For Hospice: Valid Oklahoma driver’s license and acceptable driving record; operation of INTEGRIS or personal vehicle
  • For Emergency Department: ACLS certification within 6 months; PALS within 12 months
Compensation

Tier 1 - $45/hour with shift eligibility
Tier 2 - $50/hour with shift eligibility (minimum 20 hours/week required)
